ELEPHANTA'S CAVES The famous Elephanta Caves, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These caves are located in the Elephanta continent. It is said that this place was named by the Portuguese. It is said by them that when the Portuguese came here for the first time, they found a huge statue of an elephant here. The island is located in Front Bay off the coast of the city of Mumbai. The name of this gulf is also Gharapuri which means city of caves. GOLDEN TEMPLE(SUVARNA MANDIR)  Sri Harimandir Sahib (Harimandar Sahib, Harmandir Sahib), also known as Darbar Sahib or Golden Temple, is the holiest shrine or most prominent Gurdwara of Sikhs.
